I am in my mother’s room. It’s I who live there now. I don’t know how I got there. Perhaps in an ambulance, certainly a vehicle of some kind. I was helped. I’d never have got there alone. There’s this man who comes every week. Perhaps I got here thanks to him. He says not.

Je suis dans la chambre de ma mère. C’est moi qui y vis maintenant. Je ne sais pas comment j’y suis arrivé. Dans une ambulance peut-être, un véhicule quelconque certainement. On m’a aidé. Seul je ne serais pas arrivé. Cet homme qui vient chaque semaine, c’est grâce à lui peut-être que je suis ici. Il dit que non.

Ich bin im Zimmer meiner Mutter. Ich wohne jetzt selbst darin. Wie ich hierhergekommen bin, weiß ich nicht. In der Ambulanz vielleicht, bestimmt mit irgendeinem Gefährt. Man hat mir geholfen. Allein hätte ich es nicht geschafft. Vielleicht habe ich es diesem Mann, der jede Woche erscheint, zu verdanken, daß ich hier bin. Er streiter es ab.

Taavi Talve lives and works in Tallinn. He graduated from the Estonian Academy of Arts with a degree in sculpture. Since 2005, he has been involved in various collaborative and solo projects. He currently holds the position of the head of the Department of Sculpture and Installation at the Estonian Academy of Arts.
